Who said the 4th of July should be just one day!

We started celebrating the 4th on Saturday night with the Bryant's. While in Oklahoma we purchased a few "fireworks, if sparklers, poppers, and smoke bombs count! Wendy, Stacy and the kids came over on Saturday night for dinner, and then "fun with fire"! What is it about men and fire? I think the dad's enjoyed it as much, if not more than the kids!
We had already given the kids a bath because they had been in the pool, so no red, white and blue, only pajamas!Look..the Statue of Liberty!

On Sunday, we got up and went to church then came home for a lazy afternoon in the pool. Later in the evening we met the Bryant's at the lake. Last year Corey and I took the girls to the lake and watched the fireworks from the pier, given how crazy the lake is on holidays. That was the plan again this year, however once we got there we all got the itch to see the fireworks while sitting out in the lake:) We built Corey's confidence up and assured him he could do it. We also agreed that it didn't matter what time we came back since we expected it would take hours for the boat ramp and marina to clear out. We got out without any problems and went and found a spot to anchor down. We ate dinner, the kids played games, and we just hung out together. Such fun!Notice, we made our annual 4th of July shirts again:)

Doesn't get any better than this!

Ready and waiting for the fireworks to start...

Wow!!!

Maddie was a little apprehensive about the noise but got used to it after a few minutes :)

Another great time together! Thanks to all of those who choose, or have chosen, to serve this wonderful country that we call home!
